Next BELIO:033 - ADRENALINE > > > > (DEADLINE: 15/March/2011)

BELIO 033: There is always a extreme way of living things, enjoying the edges of our culture. Creative people are usually related with experimental music, underground cinema, counterculture books, emerging art, new tendencies on design and also unconventional sports. The next Belio is dedicated to all those sports that have been part of the underground scene, that is: surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, bodyboarding, aggressive inline skating, extreme skiing, mountain biking, mountain boarding, speed biking, street luge, bungee jumping, sky surfing, cliff diving, free-diving, sandboarding, etc. But far from being just an "sports" issue, Belio wants to show a point of view that goes beyond boards and athletic bodies, to represent all the aspects of the surf-skate-bike-snow culture, the rider way of life, always since an artistic point of view. A graphic incursion through the attraction, the passion and the addiction to adrenaline!

Belio FLOG 033: ZERO GRAVITY > > > > (DEADLINE: 15/March/2011)

This is the call for photo-submissions for Belio 033! Yes! PHOTO! only pictures, no graphics, no digital filters or effects, just pure photography (digital & traditional) in relation with the topic that we propose you here: Zero Gravity.

Fly Away by Geso

The next Flog of Belio wants to be a collection of stunning images that defy one of the basic principles of nature: gravity.

One of the most popular fantasies of the human being is the one that liberates us from the piece of earth glued to our feet, that is... fly or even better: float, free from the gravity factor. Man has developed many different ways to feel that freedom, indeed not without risk... From a simple jump taken with our own legs to an astronaut taking a walk through the stratosphere. The challenge can come in many forms: a free fall on a cliff over the sea, a jump from an airplane with a parachute, bungee jumping, use a springboard to dive into the Olympic pool, or take advantage of a mountain hill, a wave or a ramp to fly with our board or even the simple and pleasant act of going back and forth on a swing.

Our purpose is not to make a simple sports album. Our aim is to show and surprise with stunning images that show the beauty of being suspended in the air, by any means. Pictures of people, objects or animals free in the air, in space ... No limits to creativity, just you and your camera. So, you know: lets fly!

WHAT'S "FLOG"?
Flog is a new section in Belio devoted entirely to photography as a medium of expression through which we want to call those who are addicted to capturing the world through their cameras (digital or analog) to tell their stories. Under a common theme we invite everyone, amateurs and professionals, to send their vision.

These collaborations can consist of at least 1 photo to a maximum of 5 images in the case of a series and could be accompanied by a short text to serve as an introduction, supplement or clarification of the images, apart of the author's data: name, surname and web address.

Photographs can be sent in JPG, TIF or PSD file format, black and white or color, to a maximum size of 24 cm (width or height) and 300 dpi resolution. Send your files to Belio by mail on CD (to: Belio Magazine, Calle Argente 14, local. 28053 Madrid - Spain), or through any web page to transfer files via FTP as yousendit.com, megaupload.com, rapidshare.com or similar. Send all your images compressed in 1 ONLY file (rar or zip).

IMPORTANT: Do not forget to include all your data (author, real name, full mailing address, zip code, phone number, email and web address) into a text document. We need it to contact you and send you a copy of the publication in case your work is selected.
